‘Fabrication of low-loss photonic wires in silicon-on-insulator using hydrogen silsesquioxane electron-beam resist’, M. Gnan, S. Thoms, D.S. Macintyre, R.M. De La Rue, and M. Sorel, Electron. Lett. Volume 44, Number 2, pp.115-116 (2008)

A significant step towards the cost-effective mass-production of photonics integrated with electronics has been made with the demonstration of a fabrication process based on HSQ resist that has the potential to produce high-performance SOI-based photonic wire device structures with good repeatability.
