Letter from the Chairman

You all know that being successful in the challenging markets of an ever more globalised world is an increasingly demanding task for any engineer. Networking, professional qualifications, finding information and establishing partnerships on the local and international scene are the basic business capabilities required by your employer. The IET is all about helping you to achieve the above by providing you with means to market yourself.

The North of Scotland Local Network of the IET is set up to facilitate your integration within the Institution. Our aim is to provide you with a local informed presence to:
-          Support and direct you on professional registration such as CEng, IEng and EngTech.
-          Assist you by facilitating training events.

-          Facilitate relevant presentation on technology that matters to you.
-          Help facilitating networking events.

-          Listen to you and provide a direct feedback to the IET board.
-          Make yourself more marketable.

As your current Chairman I would like to invite you to visit the rest of our IET website and to join us at one of our local network events. I am happy for you to contact me for further information and if I do not have it, then I am sure that I will be able to point you towards the right person.

Daniel Aklil
