Introducing schoolchildren to engineering careers
We have a nucleus of members who make presentations to local schools on what an engineering career is like - something that many school-children have great misconceptions about. We are trying to get this activity much better organised and supported. For this we shall need many more engineers properly trained. As you can imagine, it's not something you can just walk in and do straight away. You don't have to restrict your school presentations to events organised by the institutions - the training is equally valuable for presentations on behalf of your company.
